SUBSEA PIPING, FITTINGS AND FLANGES, a type of SUBSEA EQUIPMENT.
Subsea Piping, Fittings and Flanges are a type of Subsea Equipment. They are integral to the network of fluid transfer lines, flowlines, risers and jumpers that make offshore oil and gas production possible. Fluid transfer lines are typically large?diameter pipelines linking two structures and can be dynamic, flowlines are static pipelines laid on the seabed, risers are dynamic lines suspended in the water column that connect subsea infrastructure to production facilities and carry oil and gas from the seabed to the surface, and jumpers are short pieces connecting fixed structures, which may be vertical or horizontal and can be rigid jumpers or tie?in spools. These components must endure extreme temperatures, pressures, mechanical stresses and corrosive conditions while still providing reliable connections and optimal product flow. The industry is pushing for risers with greater temperature and pressure resistance, and collet connectors are widely employed in both integral and non?integral connection systems.
