SUBSEA FLEXIBLE PIPES & HOSES, a type of SUBSEA EQUIPMENT.
Subsea Flexible Pipes & Hoses are a type of Subsea Equipment. These components include fluid transfer lines, flowlines, risers and jumpers that are fundamental to offshore oil and gas production: fluid transfer lines are typically large?diameter pipelines that link two structures and may move dynamically; flowlines are static pipelines placed on the seabed to convey fluids; risers are dynamic lines hanging in the water column that connect subsea infrastructure to production facilities and bring oil and gas from the seabed up to the surface; jumpers are short pipe sections connecting two fixed structures above or below water, and they may be vertical or horizontal and can take the form of rigid jumpers or tie?in spools. All of these lines must withstand extreme temperatures, pressures, mechanical stresses and corrosive media while still providing reliable connections and maintaining optimal product flow. Research and development is focused on risers that can handle ever?higher temperatures and pressures, and collet connectors are widely used for both integral and non?integral connection systems.
