SUBSEA CHEMICAL STORAGE & INJECTION SYSTEMS, a type of SUBSEA EQUIPMENT.
Subsea Chemical Storage & Injection Systems are a type of Subsea Equipment. These solutions are part of subsea processing and compression systems that perform several roles: they boost pressure to serve long?distance facilities, they separate produced water down at the wells and reinject it underground so as not to transport unnecessary water to the surface, and they split the produced fluid into different phases to relieve flowlines, risers and topside equipment. Because oil exploration is moving into ever deeper water, these systems rely on advanced technology and extreme reliability, which has led to a consolidated market where a handful of major providers account for the vast majority of supply. Projects described as subsea seawater injection involve pumps located subsea injecting seawater, and do not include conventional water injection carried out by pumps on topside units.
