STAINLESS / DUPLEX STEEL PIPES, a type of PIPES.
Stainless / Duplex Steel Pipes are a type of Pipes.
This subcategory encompasses pipes made from Carbon, Stainless, Duplex and Super Duplex steels. Line pipes manufactured from high?strength steels convey oil, gas or water from refineries, wells, reservoirs and steam plants to distribution centres.
Two main production routes exist: seamless products are produced by heating a solid steel bar and piercing it to create the bore, which requires a high degree of know?how, whereas welded products are made by forming a plate or coil into a cylindrical shape and closing the seam via welding. Welding can be done using techniques such as electrical?resistance or high?frequency induction, or by submerged?arc welding performed in longitudinal or spiral modes. Only carbon steel varieties are broken down further by welding type because that alloy is more widely used in routine applications due to its mechanical strength.
