ANALYSERS, a type of INSTRUMENTATION.
Analyzers are a type of Instrumentation.
These devices measure the chemical properties of samples, with separate instruments for gases and liquids. Gas analyzers determine the concentration of specific gases within a process stream or mixture, supporting applications such as emissions monitoring, ambient air monitoring and process monitoring. Liquid analyzers quantify the concentration of specific elements in a liquid.
Multiwave photometers are included within this subcategory; they comprise photometers operating in the infrared, near infrared, ultraviolet and visible regions, sometimes described as near?infrared, ultraviolet or fiber?optic photometers. Chlorine analyzers are grouped within total organic carbon analyzers.
Continuous emissions monitoring systems track a range of emissions, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride, volatile organic compounds, mercury, particulate matter and oxygen. These systems may also measure air flow, flue gas opacity and moisture.
